Our Mission:

In a city where 28% of residents live in poverty and 45%-39% of its youth are at-risk, disconnected, or disengaged, Angel of Edgewood is committed to combating these urgent issues by tackling systemic food insecurities, poverty, homelessness, and social and economic disparities by bridging service gaps and providing essential support to the Greater Hartford community.

Our Community Café, Mobile Soup Kitchens, and Food Pantries are at the forefront of our efforts to overcome access barriers. We seek to meet basic human needs by expanding access to nutritional meals, healthy snacks, and groceries. Additionally, our on-site preventative, medical, referral, education, mental health, and support services address oppressive behaviors within interactions, families, communities, employers, and the state.

Our strength lies in the diversity of our experiences, not assumptions. At Angel of Edgewood, there are no saviors—only partners, advocates, and allies.
